For Fans Of: Granular synth and immense soundscapes.

Just from hearing the first track I could tell this album was gonna be a unique experience. There is a very special depth and uniqueness to the drones and soundscapes of Leafblighters debut album. Immense, yet relaxing and so much beauty to them. The minimal synth melodies fit perfectly and help build up the soundscapes.

The second track, “Sprout” was one of the highlights for me. As I stood at the bus station, I felt like I was taken somewhere else. I was floating in the air, right over the trees. Fourth track also builds up very well, as the soundscape gets just bigger and bigger. The granular synth sounds great on this track, just as it does on the fifth track as well. The album keeps working its way, with more and more creativity flowing and Im always excited to hear whats next when each track ends. I gotta say I enjoyed every single track, all for different reasons.

A very impressive debut album, one I will return to many more times when I need some calm and ethereal soundscapes. The production is also really good, all the sounds feel so big and sometimes even epic, with some really nice low end. Comes very highly recommended.
